moreJudy Snell, executive director at RSM has been shortlisted for two
categories in the Women in Finance Awards.
Ms Snell is a finalist for both the Regional Leader of the Year and the Director of the Year categories.
“It can be challenging at times, holding multiple roles and working in a rural area where there is not always the level of support and infrastructure that can be found in cities. For me it is part of the way that we do business in regional Australia and I am humbled by this recognition,” said Ms Snell.
Amongst other achievements, Ms Snell has been recognised for her commitment to mentoring, her role in developing a strong and successful practice in the wheatbelt area of Western Australia and the leadership roles she plays in a number of industry associations.
Jamie O’Rourke, national chairman, RSM Australia, said, “Judy is an outstanding member of our senior leadership team and this recognition is well deserved. Within the firm, as well as her day to day role in managing a strong regional practice, she is a member of our national executive and leads our Diversity and Inclusion program. Outside the firm, she successfully manages her own private farming business, and is a regular speaker to external agencies in order to promote success for agribusiness in Australia.”
In its inaugural year, the Women in Finance Awards, which
covers 28 categories, recognises the outstanding work of women within financial services.
“This awards event is an Australian-first program that truly pulls together all areas of financial services under one umbrella to celebrate success and excellence,” said Momentum Media’s head of events, Jim Hall.
“The winners will not only represent inspirational high achievers from the financial sector, but also recognise the rising stars of tomorrow,” he added.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie awards dinner on Thursday, 21 September at The Star, Sydney.
