He also worked with an international developer on a $600 million residential and commercial development in Circular Quay, delivering both GST and income tax advice and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
He works with a broad client base, including large corporate entities, middle market SMEs, and high net worth individuals. Joshua provides accounting, business advisory, tax advisory, and tax compliance services to both local and international clients across a range of industries. He has a strong passion for developing small to medium-sized businesses through structured reporting and forward planning. His expertise includes income tax, capital gains tax, tax structuring, asset protection, tax disputes, corporate tax, GST, and investment structuring. He has extensive experience working with clients in the property and construction industry, as well as high net worth individuals with diversified group structures and complex tax arrangements.
Joshua has spent his entire professional career at RSM. He joined the firm as an undergraduate in 2015 and worked full time while completing his degree between 2015 and 2018. Throughout his career, he has made a meaningful impact for clients, including helping foreign businesses establish operations in Australia for the first time and supporting clients through the sale of their businesses by guiding them through both the commercial and tax implications of the transaction.
He enjoys the variety in his role, noting that every client is different and no two engagements are the same. Joshua has worked across nearly every major industry, including property and construction, retail, health, logistics and transport, and high net worth individuals. He is motivated by solving complex challenges for clients, developing the people around him, and fostering a positive and energised team environment. One of the professional achievements he is most proud of is his involvement in some of the largest private land subdivisions and residential developments in Sydney.
Outside of work, Joshua is an extroverted individual who enjoys the human interaction that comes with his role. He considers himself a night owl and finds he produces his best work in the evening. He is passionate about sport, particularly watching the NRL and NFL, and is a dedicated supporter of the St George Illawarra Dragons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is also becoming a keen runner to maintain his fitness. Joshua has spent the majority of his working life at RSM, with the exception of a 12-month stint at KFC earlier in his career. He often reflects that leaving that role motivated him to work harder in Year 12, helping set the foundation for his professional journey.
