Our CEO, Chio Kian Huat, has been recognised as a Notable Alumni by Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

This recognition places him among a distinguished group of NTU graduates, and notably, one of just 23 individuals in the Entrepreneurs category, an honour that recognises alumni who have built and led businesses with meaningful impact.

 

Since founding the firm in 1985, Mr Chio has grown it into one of Singapore’s leading professional services firms, and the largest outside the Big Four. Starting with limited resources, he built the business from the ground up, guided by a clear belief in identifying opportunities amid challenges and supporting clients through periods of uncertainty and transformation.

Over the decades, Mr Chio has worked closely with clients across various stages of growth, supporting them in areas such as business planning, fund-raising, restructuring, and regional expansion. His hands-on approach and long-term perspective have enabled the firm to build deep, trusted relationships with clients, many of whom have grown alongside the firm.

Known for his strong work ethic and discipline, Mr Chio has dedicated his career to building not just a successful organisation, but one grounded in values and sustainability. Under his leadership, the firm has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of businesses, while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and integrity.

 

 

His leadership has also been recognised globally within the RSM International network, where he was awarded the CEO Excellence Award at the 2026 RSM World Leadership Conference. This accolade reflects his contributions not only at the firm level, but also across the broader international network.

Beyond business growth, Mr Chio remains deeply committed to nurturing future generations of professionals. In conjunction with the firm’s 40th anniversary in 2025, he led the launch of scholarship initiatives totalling S$4 million, benefiting students across nine local tertiary institutions. These efforts underscore his belief in investing in talent development.

This recognition by NTU reflects Mr Chio’s enduring leadership, resilience, and commitment to excellence, qualities that continue to shape the firm and inspire those around him.
