Growing a Sustainable Business

We kickstarted the year with our annual calendars that we have been gifting clients for the past many years.

For this year’s theme on Growing a Sustainable Business, we shine the spotlight on business leaders who are helming growing businesses – most of whom are founders or second-generation successors of some of Singapore’s successful home-grown enterprises. They share snippets of their business journeys, what has grounded and guided them as they navigated the ever-evolving business landscape and increasingly globalised economy.

From managing disruptions to rising above the multitude of challenges – including the waves of digitalisation and ESG concerns in recent years – these leaders share their perspectives on success, succession, and sustainability in today’s new normal of a highly volatile environment.

Here is October's feature on James Lim, Executive Director at SKP Pte. Ltd., where he shares their journey working with RSM Singapore for close to 35 years.

SKP Pte Ltd

Seow Khim Polythelene Co Pte Ltd. (SKP) was founded on January 1979. Since then, it has grown to become a company that has revolutionised the plastics disposable food packaging industry in Singapore. They are currently the largest supplier of disposable food packaging and party supplies with a manufacturing arm and more than 40 retail outlets across the island.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with us, James offers a compelling perspective on what defines great leadership today—emphasising communication as a vital pillar of success. Watch it here -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsGMEcBYahs&list=PLYpLMkgvtbpRA2szmyc5CLIoywdNbb9sT&index=9
