RSM has announced the appointment of senior financial and wealth advisor Grace Bacon as a new Partner in the Financial Services team and highly experienced auditor Matthew Beevers as a new Partner in the Assurance and Advisory team.

Grace is based in Sydney and Matthew is based in Perth.

Both appointments are effective 4 January 2022.

Grace is currently undertaking an Executive MBA through University of Sydney.  She serves as an advisory board member for the Centre of Business and Economics (CABE) at University of Melbourne and is also a committee member for the Asian Australian Foundation.

The focus of Grace’s career has been on building relationships with high-net-worth clients and their families to provide the highest standard of personalised financial advisory and wealth management services. She is particularly passionate about helping clients solve financial and related complexities and helping them grow, protect, and transfer their wealth to the next generation. Grace is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and has significant experience in profitably growing and building financial services as well as leading high-performing teams. She has over 20 years’ experience across the banking and financial services sector including financial planning, wealth management, and private banking. She has held senior roles at ANZ, CBA, Macquarie, and Westpac.

Grace is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Drawing from a history in elite sport, Matthew is a passionate and highly skilled accountant and adviser with a demonstrated capacity to lead large and multi-disciplinary professional teams, apply critical thinking to complex challenges, and deliver exceptional service and value to clients. Matthew has more than 14 years of professional experience as an audit partner at a big four firm with particular expertise in the enhancement of governance and regulatory oversight, implementation of highly effective reporting practices, and transactional support to clients.

He is experienced in leading the audits of listed and private companies and public sector entities with international, national, and local operations across a broad range of sectors, including mining services, consumer and industrial markets, technology, property, superannuation, infrastructure, and not-for-profit. He is a Board member of the Western Australian Institute of Sport and was previously on the Advisory Board of the Starlight Children's Foundation (WA).
