Hayden Callander is a Manager in the Business Advisory division in Wagga Wagga.

Having spent his entire accounting career with RSM, he brings deep knowledge of regional businesses and the challenges faced by owners as they grow, invest and plan for the future.

Hayden works with middle market and regional SMEs across the agribusiness and manufacturing sectors, supporting clients with accounting, tax, business planning and long-term growth strategies.

He is known for helping clients bridge gaps in financial and commercial expertise, from day-to-day business decisions through to complex funding, structuring and succession matters. His focus is on practical advice that helps businesses improve performance, build resilience and create opportunities for future generations.

Outside of work, Hayden is heavily involved with the Lake Albert Sharks soccer club as a player, coach, board member and parent. He also played the trumpet for more than eight years and had the honour of performing the Last Post at memorial services.

Hayden has assisted clients with multi-million dollar asset imports from overseas, guiding them through complex funding and compliance requirements. His work included coordinating banking arrangements, foreign exchange considerations, import duties and Australian Taxation Office treatment to help clients complete significant investments with confidence and clarity.

He has worked closely with family-owned businesses on generational succession planning, helping owners navigate the transfer of land, business assets and wealth between generations. This work involved balancing commercial, taxation and family considerations to support long-term business continuity.

One particularly memorable project involved assisting a wildlife park client with the importation of a rhinoceros. Hayden helped manage the financial and compliance aspects of bringing the animal into Australia, contributing to a unique project that required coordination across multiple stakeholders and regulatory requirements.

He also supports clients seeking growth and funding opportunities through detailed cash flow forecasting, budgeting and three-way financial modelling. These projects help lenders and business owners better understand future performance and make informed investment decisions.
