Paul Goon joined our Transaction Advisory Services team in November 2022, bringing a wealth of expertise to his role. With a focus on deal advisory/structuring, sale and purchase advisory, investor searches, transaction support/vendor assistance, and deal completion assistance, Paul applies his extensive knowledge across a broad range of industries, with an emphasis on energy, offshore, transportation, and logistics.

Beginning his career in audit and assurance services in 1998 while pursuing his professional qualifications, Paul worked with small firms, mid-tier firms, and leading industry players, including the Big 4 in Malaysia and Singapore. During his 15-year tenure in the audit profession, he successfully executed audit assignments across a diverse range of sectors, including trading and manufacturing, property development and construction, REITs, oil and gas, aviation, offshore, and food and beverage.

In December 2012, Paul transitioned out of audit and joined an SGX-Listed entity in an offshore oil and gas group as Financial Controller. Later, he served as Chief Financial Controller at a related renewable energy company before being appointed Group Chief Financial Officer in January 2018, where he oversaw the Group’s finance department, legal department, human resource department, and information technology department.
