Nicole is a Principal in our Risk Advisory Services division with over 10 years of experience in the provision of audit and risk consulting services, including experience in RSM’s Los Angeles office in the US office.
Nicole has extensive experience in the provision of risk advisory services with a focus in the energy and utilities market, climate change and sustainability practice, public sector and local government. She has provided a variety of services ranging from co-sourced and outsourced internal audit services to regulatory and consulting engagements.
She has also completed a secondment in RSM’s affiliate office in Los Angeles, United States. Nicole was responsible for undertaking assurance and advisory services for the public sector and retail entities.

Nicole is a Category 2 & 1 Registered Greenhouse & Energy Auditor (RGEA). Nicole is also part of our Climate Change and Sustainability team. As part of this role, Nicole is responsible for developing RSM's capability and managing teams in conducting various greenhouse and energy-related engagements.
A fun fact about Nicole is that her diet consists of intermittent fasting, eating only one meal a day.

SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS
- Review of MDP and MPBs within the National Electricity Market - Responsible for managing and coordinating the 25 Metering Data Provider (MDP) audits on behalf of the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) for the past 10 years. The audits incorporate reviewing communication interfaces between meters and the MDP metering systems and testing of metering transactions. She is also responsible for managing the 24 Metering Provider Category B (MPB) audits which review the installation and commissioning of meters, maintenance of metering equipment and meter testing.
- AER, ESC and ERA Regulatory Audits – Nicole has been involved in managing and providing assurance services for the Australian Energy Regulator (AER), Essential Services Commission (ESC) and Economic Regulation Authority. This has included determining and testing the key controls and processes in the areas of compliance performance and reporting, marketing and complaints and dispute resolutions.
- Climate Change and Sustainability – As a Category 2 RGEA, Nicole has managed numerous assurance engagements for the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER), Safeguard Mechanism, Renewable Energy Target (RET) and Emission Reduction Fund (ERF) schemes. She has also managed the audits conducted for returns submitted to the ESC under Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET) scheme, the NSW Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) and the Greenpower Program.
- Internal Audit – Nicole is the Principal responsible for the delivery of internal audit services to a range of public sector and local government clients within Queensland, the Northern Territory and Melbourne. These services include operational, performance and compliance audits in accordance with annual and strategic internal audit plans.
