You will hear from Steve Healey & Belinda Crowley of RSM Brisbane’s tax practice who will share their views and experience gained over many years working with clients across a diverse range of sectors and industries. Steve & Belinda will be joined by Joanne Casburn of the Australian Taxation Office who will provide valuable insight into the current ATO thinking and approach in this critically important area.
Steve Healey | Director, RSM
Steve leads RSM Brisbane’s tax practice and has in excess of 27 years’ experience advising a broad range of clients on most matters pertaining to corporate taxation. He is a past president of The Tax Institute (2015) and is a member of the Advisory Panel to the Board of Taxation. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, holding the designation of CTA (Life).
Belinda Crowley | Senior Manager, RSM
Belinda is a Senior Manager in RSM Brisbane’s tax team with in excess of 10 years’ experience in corporate and international taxation. She has advised many clients across a broad range of industries and has been involved in a number of significant tax risk management framework implementation assignments. She is a Chartered Accountant and holds a LLM (Taxation).
Joanne Casburn | Australian Taxation Office
Joanne’s most recent role was as an Assistant Commissioner in the ATO, a position she held for the past 8 years. In that role she lead the compliance teams in Queensland and the small & medium audit teams across Australia. She is a member of the Queensland State Council of the Tax Institute and has in excess of 25 years’ experience in the tax industry working in both the ATO and in private practice. She has qualifications in accounting and law, including a Masters of International Taxation.
