The Community Energy Upgrades Fund (CEUF) Program offers grants of up to $2.5 million for energy efficiency and electrification upgrades to local government facilities.
The Community Energy Upgrades Fund program will co-fund energy efficiency and electrification upgrades for local governments to deliver reduced energy bills and emissions.
Funding can be used for energy upgrades such as:
- Replacing energy-intensive heating systems
- Installing energy-efficient lighting
- Adding battery storage
- Implementing load flexibility and demand management systems
- Conducting electrification upgrades
- Generating renewable energy
Grants range from $25,000 to $2,500,000. A matching contribution from the applicant is required.
Australian local government bodies, including joint local government bodies, with an ABN. Targeted facilities or buildings must be owned, managed or leased by local governments.
Successful applicants from the prior round of CEUF funding are not eligible to apply.
Applications close 13 June 2025.
