Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse is one of Australia’s leading retailers in health, beauty, and medicinal products, known for delivering expert advice, exceptional value, and an extensive product range.

The brand is built on an everyday low-price model that ensures customers have access to trusted brands and professional pharmacy services without compromising on quality or care.

Founded in Queensland in 2001, Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse introduced a warehouse-style pharmacy concept that combined a wider product selection with competitive pricing. This approach quickly gained traction and supported the brand’s growth into a national pharmacy network.

Today, the group operates more than 50 stores across regional and metropolitan locations throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia. Each store is staffed by qualified professionals and offers a broad range of products spanning prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, skincare, cosmetics, and personal care.

With initiatives such as the “Lowest Price Guarantee” and “Everyday Savers” programs, Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse continues to reinforce its commitment to value while maintaining high standards of customer service. The business remains focused on sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and delivering a consistent experience across its expanding national footprint.

“Its (NetSuite) ability to handle a multi-entity environment was superior to the other products, and on top of that it’s just a nice software to use for the staff. We’ve gone from what took fifteen to twenty business days to report, down to five. My team went from eleven processing down to six processing in two years. So, the impact on us as a finance function is significant and I have more faith in our process because the software also allows us to do full circle security with our banking system as well, something we didn’t have.”

The challenge

Good Price Pharmacy operates within a complex, multi-entity environment, managing over 35 reporting entities across a growing franchise network. As the business expanded, particularly with the opening of new franchise locations, it became increasingly important to systemise and streamline processes to avoid duplicated effort and administrative inefficiencies.

At the time, the business relied on a basic accounting platform that struggled to support the scale and complexity of their operations. With more than 30 ledgers in use, consolidation and reporting became highly complex and time-consuming. Month-end processes were slow, and financial visibility across the group was limited.
Bank reconciliations were largely manual, creating unnecessary delays and increasing the risk of errors. Reporting processes were fragmented and heavily dependent on manual intervention, which reduced efficiency and made it difficult to obtain timely, accurate insights.

In addition, Good Price Pharmacy relied on external providers to match point-of-sale (POS) orders into their accounting platform, adding cost and complexity to day-to-day operations. Data processing across managed stores lacked consistency, further compounding reporting challenges and making it difficult to scale efficiently.

Overall, the existing systems and processes were no longer fit for purpose, prompting the need for a more robust solution that could automate key workflows, simplify consolidation and reporting, and support continued growth across the franchise network.

The experience

Our solution was to implement Oracle NetSuite ERP as a cloud-based, multi-entity solution to streamline operations. The project began with in-depth consultations with Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse’s in-house experts to ensure alignment with their needs. As part of the delivery, we developed intuitive dashboards that provide users with a comprehensive, real-time view of reporting across all stores.

“They’re (RSM Australia) very personable. So, you can sit down and scope out a job, very surface level but its understanding what ticks behind the business because it’s not us that can provide the answers as to what we need but just understanding the business they can bring to us, what they think we need and what compliments our business.”
- Heidi Nicolson, CFO, Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse

RSM works with, and advises Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse through

RSM implemented Oracle NetSuite Suite Success Financial First Edition to provide Good Price Pharmacy with a scalable, cloud-based ERP solution tailored to its multi-entity operating model. The deployment included core financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, banking, and Fixed Assets, supported by Suite Cloud Plus for performance and scalability. The solution was configured for 10 users and included a NetSuite Sandbox environment, enabling safe testing and ongoing optimisation, alongside a Learning Cloud Support Pass to support user adoption.

To further streamline accounts payable operations, Zone Capture (AP Automation) solution was deployed, significantly reducing manual data entry and improving accuracy in AP invoice processing. NetSuite’s Fixed Asset Management module was also implemented to replace Excel-based asset registers across multiple entities, creating a single, controlled source of truth and improving compliance and reporting consistency.

As part of the engagement, RSM provided strategic advice and technical leadership, recommending the most appropriate NetSuite modules to meet both current and future business needs. NetSuite was deployed as a unified, multi-entity platform, enabling simplified group and global consolidated reporting from a single system.
RSM also designed and built a custom integration to import point-of-sale order data from the client’s POS system, directly into NetSuite. This integration automatically matches POS data with supplier invoices through Zone Capture, removing reliance on external providers and manual reconciliation processes. Ongoing NetSuite consulting and support services continue to ensure the solution evolves alongside the business, maximising long-term value and operational efficiency.

What’s next

NetSuite has now been fully deployed across the Good Price Pharmacy network and is actively processing accounts payable orders for more than 30 managed stores. The platform has provided a centralised and scalable foundation, enabling the business to standardise financial processes across its multi-entity environment and support continued growth.

With NetSuite in place, transactional processing is significantly more streamlined, reducing manual intervention and improving consistency across stores. The new system has also strengthened control and visibility over day-to-day financial operations, laying the groundwork for improved efficiency and governance across the group.

RSM continues to provide ongoing NetSuite support, working closely with the Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse team to ensure the system evolves alongside the business. Monthly reporting cycles have already become faster and more reliable, delivering clearer insights than previously possible. While management reporting has seen initial improvements, RSM is actively exploring further enhancements to unlock deeper, more actionable reporting and maximise the value of the NetSuite investment.
