Join RSM’s Roger Darvall-Stevens at the 2021 ACFE Fraud Conference Asia-Pacific where he will be presenting on ‘Australia’s AS 8001-2021: A Leading-Edge, Just Revised Fraud and Corruption Control Standard.’
Many in Australia who have responsibility for fraud and corruption control within their business (whether in the private or public sector) will know of the better practice guidance Australia Standard (AS) 8001 Fraud and Corruption Control. The original standard, AS 8001-2008, has been the backbone of guidance on how to prevent, detect and respond to the risks of fraud and corruption.
However, AS 8001 has recently undergone a complete revision into a leading-edge guide for any company or government organisation; the resulting revision, AS 8001-2021, contains content reflecting extensive public feedback in 2020. The quality is excellent and is hot off the press in 2021.
In this session, you’ll learn about the main changes from AS 8001-2008 to AS 8001-2021, as well as how AS 8001 is not just for Australian organisations but serves as a valuable resource and leading-edge guidance for any business in any country and globally.
You will learn how to:
- Implement AS 8001-2021, the newly revised better practice guide on fraud and corruption control from Australia, in any business
- Recall the basic principles of fraud prevention, detection and response, which when properly implemented combine into an effective Fraud and Corruption Control System
- Apply best practices to improve your own Fraud and Corruption Control System
