Many businesses have capable people, strong products and clear opportunities, yet sustainable growth remains frustratingly elusive.

The reason is often not strategy, market conditions or capability: it’s the effectiveness of the team responsible for execution.

As organisations grow, communication becomes more complex, decision-making slows, accountability becomes blurred and silos begin to emerge. The result? Missed opportunities, frustrated employees and growth that falls short of its potential.

That was the focus of our recent lunch event at the National Press Club of Australia, delivered in partnership with the Canberra Business Chamber.

Chris Collings from Meridian 151 and RSM’s Andrew Fernance explored why high-performing teams are one of the biggest drivers of business success, sharing practical insights on leadership, accountability and creating the conditions for sustainable growth.

It was an insightful discussion and a timely reminder that strong teams are often the foundation of high-performing businesses.
