RSM's local newsletter.
As we embark on 2026, it is the perfect time to reflect on the past year and plan for the year ahead.
Last year marked a decade of our unified global brand, a significant milestone that reaffirms our promise to you: The Power of Being Understood. For us, this means understanding your business, your connection to the RSM community, your challenges and your ambitions.
While global events have dominated headlines, we remain focused on the issues affecting regional Australia.
Severe weather often coincides with this time of year, putting rural and remote communities at risk. The new government early warning tool is a great way to stay informed, assess resilience, and plan ahead. We hope everyone stays safe and remains prepared.
The past six months has been a busy one for the whole team, especially Jo Gilbert who you may have seen driving from Nannup, to Jerramungup, Northam and Wickepin. Safe to say she definitely got her milage up!
At RSM Australia across the country, last year has been one of continued growth under new leadership.
At the start of this financial year, Robert Miano stepped into the role of Chief Executive Partner. Since then, his focus has been on connecting with our teams and clients across the country, listening to your stories, and learning what matters most to your business.
Of course, you don't have to wait for a visit from our Chief Executive Partner to tell us your thoughts. We value your opinion and would love to hear your feedback at any time.

Best regards,
The team at RSM in Albany
LOCAL TEAM NEWS
Between the long drives Jo also ran numerous farming workshops, showing her deep love for Agriculture.
During these sessions we met many new faces and people we are excited to call clients.
The Albany team also attended One Zone training and the annual EOFY Ball, allowing them to connect with likeminded RSM staff across Western Australia.
In August our team attended the 2025 Women in Farming seminar.
The team were inspired to hear from industry representatives and women in agriculture and learn more about the work being done across the industry.
Recently Jo represented RSM Australia as a facilitator for the Farm Elevate program, delivering training and coaching to livestock farmers across WA. This program is jointly funded through the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Future Drought Fund, Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development Agriculture Climate Resilience Fund and facilitated by Grower Group Alliance.
Jo travelled over 2,200km by car (thanks to a cancelled flight!) and delivered 30 hours of content solo in Albany, Nannup, Jerramungup, Gingin and Waroona. A highlight was having fellow colleagues Nathan Walter, Danelle Smith, Phil Di Candilo and Mark Schrier join her at some of these workshops from their local areas.
A huge thank you to the farmers who made time to attend — their resilience, innovation and commitment to the future of farming is impressive. The future of farming is full of potential.
They came away with new ideas, connections and respect for the amazing women helping shape the future of farming.
