2025 is shaping up to be quite a roller coaster year.
With extreme weather events, trade wars, an election, and even a new pope, the news cycle has been relentless, making it challenging to keep track of important updates amidst the chaos.
For those of us living in regional Australia, it's tempting to tune it all out and enjoy the peace and quiet. To make it easier, the team here at Bunbury has hand picked some insights that we think you’ll find relevant.
With the financial year now behind us, we've taken time to reflect on the past six months at our Bunbury office."
We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter and find the contents useful and informative.

The team at RSM in Bunbury
LEADERSHIP CHANGES
This year has been a time of change, both for the world and for RSM Australia. On June 30, we bid goodbye to our Chief Executive Partner, Jamie O’Rourke.
Jamie began his career with RSM 34 years ago in the regional office of Goulburn before moving to Sydney in 1997. As our national leader for the past nine years, Jamie guided us through a period of significant growth and change, including managing the disruptions and challenges brought about by the pandemic. Throughout his tenure, he maintained and strengthened RSM’s strong presence in regional Australia, stating, “While we continue to grow across all areas, our regional footprint is unique and integral to our national identity.”
We are pleased to announce Robert Miano as our new Chief Executive Partner, effective July 1, 2025.
With over 25 years of experience in audit and corporate advisory work, Robert is well-equipped to lead RSM Australia into the future.

LOCAL TEAM NEWS
We are delighted to introduce two new team members at the Bunbury office.
If you visit, be sure to say hello to our new receptionist, Kimberely Lewis, who will be sitting at the front desk. Additionally, our superannuation team has welcomed a new administration assistant, Cherie Doyle.
It has been an eventful few months at RSM. In March, we hosted a Federal Budget Breakfast to unpack the contents of the Federal Budget.
Tara Winsor and Matthew Busher attended a networking event for young entrepreneurs at Glofit, which was a fantastic way to meet new faces in the business community. Tara also made it out to the national 2025 SMSF conference in Melbourne, keeping her skills and knowledge fresh to best serve the Bunbury community. We have also been raising funds for Relay for Life and recently held a Bunnings sausage sizzle at the Bunbury store. Plus, our team had some fun at an office outing at Xgolf in Bunbury.
