2025 is shaping up to be quite a roller coaster year.
With extreme weather events, trade wars, an election, and even a new pope, the news cycle has been relentless, making it challenging to keep track of important updates amidst the chaos.

LEADERSHIP CHANGES
This year has been a time of change, both for the world and for RSM Australia. On June 30, we bid goodbye to our Chief Executive Partner, Jamie O’Rourke.
Jamie began his career with RSM 34 years ago in the regional office of Goulburn before moving to Sydney in 1997. As our national leader for the past nine years, Jamie guided us through a period of significant growth and change, including managing the disruptions and challenges brought about by the pandemic. Throughout his tenure, he maintained and strengthened RSM’s strong presence in regional Australia, stating, “While we continue to grow across all areas, our regional footprint is unique and integral to our national identity.”
We are pleased to announce Robert Miano as our new Chief Executive Partner, effective July 1, 2025.
With over 25 years of experience in audit and corporate advisory work, Robert is well-equipped to lead RSM Australia into the future.

LOCAL TEAM NEWS
Obviously, the biggest team news here in Geraldton is Kara Golding’s promotion to Partner!
Kara learned the big news while attending a partner and director retreat in Sydney. It was an opportunity for team bonding, knowledge sharing, and mapping out exciting future endeavours.
Other team changes include our receptionist, Amanda Mason who joined the Geraldton office in January. It has been a busy six months for Amanda, and we think it's safe to say she has settled in well.
And a special congratulations to one of our graduates, Raffey Tu. Chartered Accountants recently acknowledged Raffey with a Certificate of Merit in Data Analytics and Insights in Term 4.
The Geraldton team recently participated in the 7k a Day in May Walk for Autism, forming four teams of four members each.
In May, Ronel, Liya, and Paris attended the Nagle Futures Day Careers Expo to inspire students to consider a career in accounting. Additionally, Kara, Trevor, and their partners attended the Variety - the Children's Charity Midwest Cocktail Evening Fundraiser.
