RSM's local newsletter.
2025 is shaping up to be quite a roller coaster year.
With extreme weather events, trade wars, an election, and even a new pope, the news cycle has been relentless, making it challenging to keep track of important updates amidst the chaos.
For those of us living in regional Australia, it's tempting to tune it all out and enjoy the peace and quiet. To make it easier, the team here at Manjimup has hand picked some insights that we think you’ll find relevant.
The past six months have been a time of change and connection at RSM in Manjimup. We have welcomed new team members, adapted to flexible work arrangements, and continued supporting our clients with practical advice and services.
In the community, we’ve hosted several successful events, including Xero training workshops and a carbon farming event - helping local farmers prepare for climate-related changes and explore new opportunities.
We are proud to support the Manjimup region and look forward to continuing to grow alongside our clients and community.
We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter and find the contents useful and informative.
Best regards,
The team at RSM in Manjimup
LEADERSHIP CHANGES
This year has been a time of change, both for the world and for RSM Australia. On June 30, we bid goodbye to our Chief Executive Partner, Jamie O’Rourke.
Jamie began his career with RSM 34 years ago in the regional office of Goulburn before moving to Sydney in 1997. As our national leader for the past nine years, Jamie guided us through a period of significant growth and change, including managing the disruptions and challenges brought about by the pandemic. Throughout his tenure, he maintained and strengthened RSM’s strong presence in regional Australia, stating, “While we continue to grow across all areas, our regional footprint is unique and integral to our national identity.”
We are pleased to announce Robert Miano as our new Chief Executive Partner, effective July 1, 2025.
With over 25 years of experience in audit and corporate advisory work, Robert is well-equipped to lead RSM Australia into the future.

LOCAL TEAM NEWS
While farewells are never easy, we send our best wishes to Marie Parker as she embarks on her next chapter.
At the same time, we’re delighted to welcome Hannah Boydell to the team as our new Administration Officer. Hannah has already made a fantastic first impression with her positive attitude and eagerness to learn. Additionally, Sheryl Thompson has begun transitioning to a reduced work schedule, now working from home three days a week while remaining available for appointments.
Since our last update, the RSM team in Manjimup has delivered several well-attended Xero training workshops. They also hosted a highly successful presentation titled “What Does Carbon Mean for Farmers?” in partnership with National Australia Bank, attracting an overwhelming number of attendees. Building on this success, our very own Nathan Walter went on to co-host a webinar of the same name and focus.
These initiatives are part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses and farmers in adopting digital tools and preparing for climate-related reporting and carbon management opportunities. We are proud to contribute to the continued growth and resilience of the Manjimup community.
