Welcome to
THE FULL ACCOUNT -
RSM's local newsletter.
It has been a full-on start to 2026 – how are things tracking along for you?
Over the past six months, we’ve seen continued growth in AI, gradually reshaping how businesses operate and creating new opportunities to improve efficiency and allow business owners to focus on the key matters in their business.
The period between the Federal Budget announcements and EOFY is always interesting, but 2026 will go down in tax history. We are looking at major changes that affect just about every business we work with.
The Busselton team has been busy these past few months, as we finalise tax work for the 24-25 financial year and switch gears to plan ahead for 25-26. The budget announcements have added another layer of complexity, as we consider structural changes our clients may need going forwards.
Happily, the internal culture at RSM is one that encourages active discussions and knowledge-sharing. Sometimes the best insights arise from late-night conversations, but we share those insights with the team to ensure all clients receive the same high level of service.
Rest assured that the Busselton and Margaret River teams will join all RSM accountants across Australia to navigate the proposed tax changes before us.
To make your life just a little bit easier, we've put together some updated resources that our team thinks will help you build resilience and stay strong. We hope they provide some clarity and confidence as we face future challenges.
Best regards,
The team at RSM in Busselton and Margaret River

Financial Literacy and Financial Independence for Women
In February, our Amanda Rocco and Steff Wallner in partnership with The Rural, Regional and Remote Womens Network of Australia (RRR) and The Busselton Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented a Financial Literacy and Financial Independence for Women session. It was a fantastic success! The conversation resonated so strongly that our presenters have since been invited to deliver a webinar on the topic.
