THE FULL ACCOUNT -
RSM's local newsletter.
It has been a full-on start to 2026 – how are things tracking along for you?
It has been a challenging period for many, with rising cost of living pressures, ongoing inflation, global uncertainty and the rapid pace of change driven by AI.
The recent Federal Budget has also introduced additional considerations for businesses to navigate. In response, our team has remained focused on practical, forward-looking solutions, from improving efficiencies through outsourcing and AI to restructuring and succession planning. We have also welcomed Alice Lindbeck back to the team and seen Aaron Slater further strengthen local connections through his involvement with BNI. As always, we’re here to support you and welcome the opportunity to connect.
To make your life just a little bit easier, we've put together some updated resources that our team thinks will help you build resilience and stay strong. We hope they provide some clarity and confidence as we face future challenges.
Best regards,
Tim, Liz, Aaron, Alice and the broader team at RSM in Port Macquarie
LOCAL TEAM NEWS
It has been a dynamic and productive period for our Port Macquarie team, with a strong focus on strengthening capability, connection and growth.
Aaron Slater recently became an active member of BNI Hastings Connections, building valuable relationships within the local business community.
We were also delighted to welcome Alice Lindbeck back to the team following a short break. With over a decade of experience in Restructuring & Recovery, Alice brings deep expertise and continues to play a key role in supporting both our clients and team, despite being based remotely from regional New South Wales.
More broadly, our team has remained closely connected across the firm, with Tim Gumbleton visiting our Albury office to share the positive momentum in Port Macquarie and our plans for continued regional growth. Several team members also attended the national Restructuring & Recovery conference in Perth, gaining valuable insights and strengthening collaboration with colleagues from across the country.
Our Port Macquarie team has continued to build strong connections across the Mid North Coast community.
We are excited to share that our office is now on Facebook. Follow our page to stay up to date with upcoming events and see how we can connect you with our experts across the country.
We have also been actively involved with Business NSW Mid North Coast, attending key events including the Mid North Coast Housing Summit in Coffs Harbour and the Technology Summit in Port Macquarie, as well as visiting local industry leaders throughout the Nambucca Valley. These visits provided valuable insights into regional opportunities and challenges, with a memorable stop along the way at the iconic “Pub With No Beer.”
Supporting the community also remains a priority, with Tim Gumbleton and Aaron Slater recently participating in local charity golf days across the region, including events at South West Rocks Country Club supporting ovarian cancer initiatives and the Matt Nixon Memorial Day at Forster Golf Club. These events provided a great opportunity to give back while connecting with local businesses and community members.
