The WA Government has launched a further funding round of its Clean Energy Future Fund (CEFF)

Grants of up to $4 million are available, targeting organisations seeking to design, deploy, test or demonstrate clean energy solutions. This is particularly relevant for clients that are:

  • Heavy emitters looking to decarbonise,
  • Developing new low-carbon technologies or
  • Manufacturers or owners of built environment infrastructure looking to enhance energy efficiency.

Example projects from two previous funding rounds include hydroelectric energy storage in Walpole, a microgrid for industry in Moora, and redeployable solar system near Kalgoorlie.

The CEFF supports innovative projects that design, deploy, test or demonstrate clean energy solutions likely to deliver community benefits, support First Nations peoples, or lead to broader adoption.

Projects that prioritise the decarbonisation of existing industry, develop new low-carbon industries or enhance energy efficiency in manufacturing or the built environment are encouraged.

Grants between $100,000 and $4 million are available, with matched contributions required from the applicant. The total funding pool is $21.7 million over the next three rounds.

  • Indigenous corporations
