The objective of the program is to support economic growth and improve workforce participation.

This program funds infrastructure and enabling works in exposed and vulnerable Murray Darling Basin communities in NSW. The objective of the program is to support economic growth and improve workforce participation.
Eligible projects should:
- Invest in region-based infrastructure and assets that benefit multiple users or industries and deliver broad economic impact;
- Unlock land for industry, housing or new economic opportunities; and/or
- Invest in infrastructure that supports growing populations, enabling people to live and work locally.
Grants of up to $10 million are available from a total funding pool of $70 million.
Eligible applicants and their co-contribution are as follows:
Minimum of 50% cash contribution
- Australian incorporated companies;
- Incorporated associations;
- Co-operatives;
Minimum of 25% contribution (cash or in-kind)
- NSW local councils;
- NSW joint or regional organisations of councils;
- Australian universities;
- Public or private organisations registered as a charity;
No minimum contribution required (cash or in-kind is strongly encouraged)
- Local Aboriginal Land Councils or the NSW Aboriginal Land Council;
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporations; or
- Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations.
