QLD Multicultural Connect Grants Program

The Multicultural Connect Grants Program provides matched funding for capital infrastructure projects that build or upgrade permanent, inclusive community spaces in Queensland. The program supports multicultural organisation and groups to deliver facilities – such as community halls, meeting spaces, hubs or sporting facilities – that meet the cultural, social and service needs of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including migrants, refugees, people seeking asylum and Australian South Sea Islander peoples.
The program aims to:

• Enhance community infrastructure
• Promote cross-cultural understanding
• Strengthen social cohesion by supporting safe, accessible and adaptable facilities
• Create flexible spaces that can be used by multiple organisations and community groups
   

Eligible projects include:

• Building a new community facility
• Upgrading existing ones (such as adding rooms, improving accessibility, refurbishments, building carparks or creating structures that facilitate community connection)

Grant funding of up to $500,000 is available. The total funding pool is $3.75 million.
Funding is available on a 1:1 cash contribution basis.

Applicants must:

• Be an organisation that actively operates in Queensland
• Have no overdue reports, service delivery or performance issues for funding received from Multicultural Affairs Queensland

Eligible applicants include:

• Not-for-profit or charitable organisations legally registered in Australia
• Local government bodies

Expressions of interest close 30 August 2026. 
Successful shortlisted EOI applicants will be invited to submit a full application by November 2026.
