Patrick specialises in a broad range of accounting, taxation, and advisory services. His expertise includes the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements, along with ongoing financial analysis.
He provides cash flow preparation, forecasting, budgeting, and progress reviews, as well as recommendations and support for accounting software solutions. He has contributed to a number of significant and complex projects throughout his career. These engagements demonstrate his ability to deliver practical solutions in high-pressure and sensitive environments.
Patrick works with a diverse client base, including government and public sector organisations, middle market and regional SMEs, and high net worth individuals. He helps clients solve a wide range of challenges, including sourcing and implementing cloud accounting and payroll solutions, managing complex tax issues and planning, and meeting compliance obligations with regulatory bodies such as the ATO, OSR, and ASIC. He provides guidance on structuring businesses and investments for asset protection and tax efficiency, assists with estate administration and succession planning, and resolves complex matters involving capital gains tax and multi-entity structures. He also advises on risk management and mitigation strategies.
With 23 years of experience in general practice accounting, Patrick has worked across several Chartered Accounting firms in Sydney, Canberra, the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, and now Goulburn. Prior to his career in accounting, he had a diverse professional background, including working in the casino industry, spending time on cruise ships around the world, working in the NSW public sector, and gaining experience in the banking industry. Since transitioning into accounting in 2002, he has built a strong reputation for delivering trusted and practical advice.
One of the most meaningful moments in his career was supporting the family of a long-standing client following an unexpected passing. He worked closely with them to navigate complex estate and succession matters, delivering clear, practical solutions during a difficult and emotional time. Patrick finds great satisfaction in working with business-minded clients who are focused on growth, helping them transform their ideas into structured, actionable plans that achieve long-term outcomes. He is equally passionate about developing his team, fostering an environment that promotes technical excellence, professional growth, and the ability to deliver meaningful results for clients.
He is motivated by seeing his team succeed and develop professionally while continuing to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. Among his proudest achievements is building and mentoring a high-performing team in the Goulburn office, as well as developing long-term client relationships based on trust and collaboration. He is particularly proud to have clients who have worked with him for more than 20 years, reflecting the strength and longevity of these partnerships.
Outside of work, Patrick has a creative side and has won awards for both a photograph of a meerkat and for his rose growing. He enjoys golf and AFL, and has been a dedicated member of Carlton Football Club for over 27 years. Earlier in his career, he worked in the public sector while also pursuing roles as a sound and lighting technician for well-known jazz and funk bands.
