RSM's local newsletter.
2025 is shaping up to be quite a roller coaster year.
With extreme weather events, trade wars, an election, and even a new pope, the news cycle has been relentless, making it challenging to keep track of important updates amidst the chaos.
For those of us living in regional Australia, it's tempting to tune it all out and enjoy the peace and quiet. To make it easier, the team here at Rockingham has hand picked some insights that we think you’ll find relevant.
It has been a busy start to 2025 at RSM in Rockingham. We are proud to have actively continued working in the Peel, Rockingham and Kwinana region.
As we start another financial year, we find ourselves reflecting on the past six months at our Rockingham office.
We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter and find the contents useful and informative.
Best regards,
The team at RSM in Rockingham
LEADERSHIP CHANGES
This year has been a time of change, both for the world and for RSM Australia. On June 30, we bid goodbye to our Chief Executive Partner, Jamie O’Rourke.
Jamie began his career with RSM 34 years ago in the regional office of Goulburn before moving to Sydney in 1997. As our national leader for the past nine years, Jamie guided us through a period of significant growth and change, including managing the disruptions and challenges brought about by the pandemic. Throughout his tenure, he maintained and strengthened RSM’s strong presence in regional Australia, stating, “While we continue to grow across all areas, our regional footprint is unique and integral to our national identity.”
We are pleased to announce Robert Miano as our new Chief Executive Partner, effective July 1, 2025.
With over 25 years of experience in audit and corporate advisory work, Robert is well-equipped to lead RSM Australia into the future.

LOCAL TEAM NEWS
Tom Huberli hit 25 years with RSM, to celebrate the team came together for a congratulatory morning tea.
We also welcomed Angel Cventanoski to the Rockingham office. He joins RSM as an undergraduate whilst he continues to study his Accounting degree at Curtin University.
We had a little bit of friendly rivalry in the office on Friday for "footy shirt Friday" to kick off the start of the AFL season.
Total Life Wellbeing visited our office as part of our Wellness Wednesday initiative. The team participated in team bonding activities that saw us building marshmallow towers, untwist ourselves from our human knot, and take in some fresh air activities. We also went 10-pin bowling for a recent social function.
For RSM World Day, we in the PaRK region aligned with Peel Community Fund to 'give our time back' in the Final Hour Appeal.
The Peel Community Fund - exists to make a lasting difference in the Peel region. Their philosophy is that everyone can be a philanthropist. Donations to the Peel Community Fund are “pooled” together and used to address important challenges in our area and create opportunities for social equity to emerge through providing grants.
We also attended the Peel Chamber of Commerce AGM and after hours event, with our own Leesa Darby delivering her first Treasurer's report.
Tanika and Jade also contributed to a recent blood drive. Good work girls.
