Funding for industry-led, short-term (“up to 3 years”) research collaborations for an Australian SME's that aim to develop a product, service, or process to solve industry problems and deliver tangible outcomes
Matched funding ($100K–$3M) for short-term research collaborations, aligned to government priorities

CRC Projects (CRC-P) Grants support industry-led collaborations between industry, researchers and the community. The focus is on research and development of a product, service or process that will solve problems for industry and deliver real outcomes.

Applications to Round 18 should have a focus on Government priorities, the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF) priority areas and the National Science and Research (NS&R) priorities.

NRF priority areas

  • renewables and low emission technologies
  • medical science
  • transport
  • value-add in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries
  • value-add in resources
  • defence capability
  • enabling capabilities    

NS&R priorities

  • transitioning to a net zero future
  • supporting healthy and thriving communities
  • elevating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders knowledge systems
  • protecting and restoring Australia’s environment
  • building a secure and resilient nation. 
  •  

Applications that involve the development of robotics and automation technologies across these priorities will be looked on favourably.

Equally, meritorious applications submitted by eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations will be prioritised for funding.

Matched funding of between $100,000 and $3 million.

Projects must be an industry-lead research collaboration, where the lead applicant is an Australian SME, and project partners include:
•    2 Australian industry organisations
•    1 Australian research organisation
