RSM's local newsletter.

As we embark on 2026, it is the perfect time to reflect on the past year and plan for the year ahead.

Last year marked a decade of our unified global brand, a significant milestone that reaffirms our promise to you: The Power of Being Understood. For us, this means understanding your business, your connection to the RSM community, your challenges and your ambitions.
While global events have dominated headlines, we remain focused on the issues affecting regional Australia.

Severe weather often coincides with this time of year, putting rural and remote communities at risk. The new government early warning tool is a great way to stay informed, assess resilience, and plan ahead. We hope everyone stays safe and remains prepared.

2025 was a year of strong progress and meaningful outcomes.

We were fortunate to work alongside a dedicated and hardworking team who continued to deliver high-quality service and uphold RSM’s commitment to excellence.

The year also marked important milestones for our office, including celebrating Cameron Taylor’s remarkable 40 years of service and contribution to RSM. We strengthened our internal capabilities, welcomed new team members, and continued investing in technology to help clients streamline systems, improve reporting, and enhance decision-making. Our involvement in community initiatives and regional events across the Great Southern remained a highlight, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the people and industries that make our region so unique.

Thank you for your trust, support, and collaboration throughout the year. It has been a privilege to work with you and to play a part in your business journeys, and we look forward to continuing these partnerships in 2026 with renewed energy and purpose.

At RSM Australia across the country, last year has been one of continued growth under new leadership.

At the start of this financial year, Robert Miano stepped into the role of Chief Executive Partner. Since then, his focus has been on connecting with our teams and clients across the country, listening to your stories, and learning what matters most to your business.

Of course, you don't have to wait for a visit from our Chief Executive Partner to tell us your thoughts. We value your opinion and would love to hear your feedback at any time.

Best regards,

The team at RSM in Katanning

As part of our WA Regional Connection and Collaboration program, the Katanning team hosted an exciting cocktail-making session. Teams from across WA came together to mix, mingle and master the art of cocktails. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share a few laughs along the way.

The RSM in Katanning team had a fantastic day at the Wagin Women in Farming Family Farm Succession Workshop.

Dr Catherine Bowen delivered powerful insights on communication, mediation, and the key drivers that influence family succession planning. It was an enriching experience that deepened our understanding and strengthened our skills.
