THE FULL ACCOUNT -

RSM's local newsletter.

It has been a full-on start to 2026 – how are things tracking along for you?

Over the past six months, we’ve seen continued growth in AI, gradually reshaping how businesses operate and creating new opportunities to improve efficiency and allow business owners to focus on the key matters in their business. At the same time our senior leadership remains focused on our two key pillars, our valued clients and our dedicated people, recognising that their ongoing engagement and success are fundamental to achieving sustainable growth and delivering meaningful outcomes.

The recent Federal Budget has also introduced some significant proposed changes, particularly around capital gains, trusts and business investment, which will be important considerations as we head into the new financial year.

To make your life just a little bit easier, we've put together some updated resources that our team thinks will help you build resilience and stay strong. We hope they provide some clarity and confidence as we face future challenges.

Best regards,

The team at RSM in Bunbury

LOCAL TEAM NEWS

The Bunbury office has welcomed several new team members in recent months, continuing to strengthen our local support and service capabilities across the South West region.

We are pleased to introduce Ami Linton and Mthulisi Ndlovu, who have joined the team as graduates and are already making a positive contribution as they begin their careers with RSM. We also welcome Lisa Luvera as receptionist and Kodi Bickers as administration assistant, both bringing valuable support to the day-to-day operations of the office.

We would also like to congratulate Talita Pereira, who recently commenced maternity leave and welcomed a beautiful baby boy. We wish Talita and her family all the very best during this exciting new chapter.

There has also been a personnel change within the region, with Vaughan Jeffrey now spending two days per week in the Bunbury office and the remainder of his time supporting clients and the team in Manjimup.

The Bunbury office has continued to stay actively involved in the local community through a range of educational, fundraising and industry events across the South West region.

Kelly Watson has been running regular Xero workshops in Collie, supporting local businesses with practical bookkeeping and accounting knowledge. Vaughan Jeffrey also recently delivered a ‘Payday Super Simplified’ workshop in Collie, helping businesses prepare for upcoming payroll and superannuation changes.

The team has been proudly supporting Relay for Life through our fundraising efforts. In March, we ran a Bunnings sausage sizzle and in April, we organised an Easter raffle. All together we’ve raised more than $2000 for the amazing cause.

Fiona Sherington has continued her involvement as a leader within the WA health group, attending several key industry events including the Rural Health West Conference, GPCE Perth, the Business for Doctors MBS Workshop and the Rural Health Annual Conference at Crown Perth alongside the WA health team.

The Bunbury office also recently co-hosted a Federal Budget insights breakfast with the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce, where Grant Avery shared key Federal Budget updates with local businesses and community members.
