Fiona Brazier
Director - Brisbane

Fiona Brazier is a Director in the Tax Services division in Brisbane.

Fiona has worked on a number of significant projects that have delivered strong outcomes for her clients:

  • She assisted a large US-based global group in acquiring their first business in Australia, including structuring the investment and reviewing the deal for any inherited risks.
  • She advised a large Queensland family business on a complex group restructure to simplify their tax affairs and provides ongoing support as part of their adviser panel to assist with strategic decision-making.
  • She has also worked alongside an ASX-listed aggregator through ongoing transaction support, purchase implementation, compliance, and ultimately enabling key shareholders to exit and delist.

She works primarily with large corporate entities and middle market SMEs. Fiona helps local businesses that have grown into complex structures to streamline their operations and navigate the corporatisation of their group, including the increased risk and compliance obligations that come with it. She also supports inbound international businesses, helping them manage and understand the complexities of Australia’s tax regulations.

Prior to joining RSM, Fiona gained over eight years’ experience in Big 4 accounting firms, advising large private groups and international corporations across a diverse range of areas including tax, accounting, superannuation, specialist tax incentives, and grant services. Her multidisciplinary experience enables her to act as a conduit between different advisors, translating complex technical issues into clear commercial implications so clients can make confident decisions.

Fiona enjoys working with people and helping to take the stress out of Australia’s complex tax system. She is motivated by the people she works with, both colleagues and clients. One of the professional achievements she is most proud of is her decade long involvement with CAANZ, where she advocates for member issues, with a particular focus on supporting young members in practice. She has served on a number of CAANZ panels and committees both locally and internationally, she was recognised as the 2022 Young Regional Member of the Year (QLD) by CAANZ and was elected the 2026 Chair of the QLD Regional Council.

Outside of work, Fiona brings a sense of humour and creativity to her profile. While she jokes about enjoying long walks on the beach, she is in fact a keen traveller.
