Payroll compliance has been under increasing scrutiny and, with the implementation of Payday Super from 1 July, the rules have been changing fast.
RSM’s Global Employer Services Lead, Rick Kimberley, and RSM Business Advisory Director, Andrew Fernance, hosted a practical session to explain what’s changing, where your business may be most exposed, and what you can do now to stay compliant, including:
- What these changes mean in practice for employers
- Practical steps to prepare and stay compliant ahead of implementation
- Potential penalties for non-compliance
- How to navigate super clearing houses
- Real-world insights from our clients - lessons learned, common challenges, and practical tips to help your business adapt
Rick also touched on Operation Crimson, a joint taskforce between the ATO and Fair Work Australia targeting payroll non-compliance, as well as other wage compliance considerations.
It was a valuable session for those companies affected and we look forward to supporting businesses as they prepare for these changes.
