Amir Lefkovic
Partner - Melbourne
Amir Lefkovic is a Partner in RSM Australia's Corporate Finance team in Melbourne.
He advises founders, business owners, shareholders, private companies, investors and boards on some of the most significant decisions in the life of their business, including acquisitions, capital raisings, divestments and business sales.
With more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Amir has advised on more than 70 transactions across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, technology, consumer and business services. He works closely with clients to evaluate strategic options, navigate complexity and achieve successful outcomes.
Amir is particularly recognised for advising founder-led and privately owned businesses, helping owners navigate the commercial and personal considerations that often accompany major transactions. He understands that for many business owners, a transaction represents far more than a financial event. It is often the culmination of years, and sometimes decades, of hard work, personal investment and long-term commitment.
Known for his practical, hands-on approach, Amir leads transactions end-to-end, partnering closely with clients from initial strategic discussions and preparation through to execution, negotiation and completion. He adopts a relationship-led approach to advisory and often works with clients well before a transaction formally commences, helping them prepare, position their business and assess strategic alternatives.
Clients value Amir's commercial judgement, clear communication and ability to simplify complex decisions. His focus extends beyond completing transactions to helping clients achieve outcomes aligned with their broader personal, financial and strategic objectives. Many of his client relationships continue long after a transaction has completed, reflecting his commitment to building long-term trusted adviser relationships.
"The decisions surrounding a transaction are often among the most important a business owner will make. I enjoy helping clients navigate these decisions with confidence, providing practical advice, objective guidance and support to achieve the best possible outcome."
Prior to joining RSM, Amir held senior corporate finance and M&A advisory roles across leading Big Four and boutique advisory firms. He also held an in-house M&A and Strategy Development role with Origin Energy, providing him with both adviser and corporate perspectives on complex transactions.
Outside of work, Amir enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, running and travelling. He completed the Melbourne Marathon and is currently training for his next marathon. He is also a passionate Collingwood supporter and enjoys attending matches at the MCG.
