Tim Ryan is a Director of the Risk Consulting division in Canberra, specialising in the Government sector.

Tim holds over 20 years of experience in corporate management. Prior to joining RSM Australia, Tim worked for a large multinational systems integrator, accountable for developing a public service consulting practice throughout Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that, he was a Managing Partner of a Canberra based consulting firm, providing project management services to federal government clients undergoing major policy and service delivery reforms. 

Tim is a Partner in management consulting and experienced in risk advisory. He is in charge of Project Management and Assurance in Canberra. Tim is skilled in portfolio management and service delivery improvement.

SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS 

  • Tim helped a large federal government department plan for and assure the design, build and implementation of a national quarantine centre; working with the same department to help plan and assure the implementation of major legislation change and assess impact across policy, operations, people and technology. 
  • Tim provided independent assurance for a major shared services initiative led by a central agency. 
  • For a science and technology based government organisation, he developed and implemented an enterprise wide project management methodology, including a tailored Project Management Handbook, core project management processes, governance and reporting frameworks and staff training. This included the creation of a corporate Program Management Office, responsible for integrating major projects, monitoring capital expenditure and reporting progress at the board level.
