The Federal Government’s Valentine Day’s gift was the announcement of new Critical Minerals grant program. As with last year’s Critical Minerals Development Program, we are anticipating high levels of demand for this funding so swift action is a must.

Please share this Grant Alert with any of your clients between the post-exploration and final investment decision stages of the project lifecycle. There is a strong focus on processing and value adding and funding can support a range of activities as outlined in the below Grant Alert.

What's it for?

The program is targeted at early to mid-stage critical minerals projects undertaking activities between the post-exploration and final investment decision stages of the project lifecycle. Project must contribute to building supply chains with Australia’s international partners in the critical minerals sector. Project activities must be substantially undertaken in Australia and produce or are planning to produce critical mineral(s) as listed in Australia’s Critical Minerals List. Activities to be funded include pilot plants, feasibility studies, capacity expansions, scoping work for infrastructure upgrades and research and development (R&D) collaboration.

How much is available?
