The SA Government has re-opened its Enabling Infrastructure Program, providing grants of up to $1 million for capital projects that serve our regional areas
While eligibility is broad, it’s worth noting that grants under this program have historically been awarded primarily to local councils, community clubs and other not-for-profits.
The Enabling Infrastructure Program supports infrastructure projects that strengthen and build strong regional communities in South Australia by:
- Improving quality of life;
- Supporting population attraction or retention; or
- Supporting workforce and/or business attraction or retention.
Projects must be located in South Australia and be investment-ready, able to commence within 6 months of a funding agreement and be completed within 2 years.
Grant funding of up to $1 million is available. The total funding pool is $5 million.
Applicant must provide a cash contribution:
- 50% for companies, partnerships, sole traders, co-operatives and statutory authorities;
- 30% for local governments, incorporated associations, registered charities, and companies limited by guarantee.
