The New Energies Industries Funding Stream provides grants to encourage investment in new clean energy projects that create local jobs, support local businesses to scale and contribute to a more diversified WA economy.

Applications close 4 November 2025 at 17:00 AWST.

The WA Government has just re-opened its Investment Attraction Fund to new applications. 

Grants of up to $15 million are available for clients looking to develop new clean energy projects in WA in the following key sectors:

  • Green iron and steel
  • Critical minerals
  • Carbon capture, utilisation and storage
  • Renewable hydrogen

 

The New Energies Industries Funding Stream provides grants to encourage investment in new clean energy projects that create local jobs, support local businesses to scale and contribute to a more diversified WA economy.

Funding is available for projects that directly lead to a measurable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and enable further decarbonisation through advanced manufacturing or export opportunities in Western Australia.

Projects must be in the following priority sectors:

  • Green iron and steel
  • Critical minerals
  • Carbon capture, utilisation and storage
  • Renewable hydrogen

Grants of up to $15 million are available from a total funding pool of $60 million

Grant funding will cover a maximum 50% of total proposal cost.

Applicants must:

  • be registered or be eligible to register for an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • have a proven trading history for the past 3 financial years
