RSM Australia, the Australian member firm of RSM – the world’s sixth largest professional services network with in excess of US $8 billion in global revenues – is helping cement Australia’s visibility in the all-important Asia Pacific region following the appointment of Perth-based Partner James Komninos to the role as Chair of the Asia Pacific Region.

There are six regions that comprise RSM’s global coverage with its member firms represented in 120 countries.

RSM’s Asia Pacific Region – comprising offices in 20 countries including Australia – is one of the international network’s top performers, and economically, the fastest growing and arguably most important economic zone in the modern global economy.

Mr Komninos succeeds Wong Poh Weng, RSM International Board member and former Chairman of the RSM member firm in Hong Kong.

Mr Komninos – who has more than 30 years’ experience in audit and assurance – has been a member of RSM’s International Board since 2016 and has worked closely with member firms to grow RSM’s global brand through a client-first culture, investment in talent, and use of global digital delivery models and tools to deliver technologically-enabled solutions that drive business transformation.

In another appointment, Director of RSM Financial Services Chris Jas has been appointed RSM Australia’s National Head of Financial Services – a division with seven Partners that has experienced tremendous growth. Mr Jas, who is also Perth-based, brings close to 18 years of experience to the role. He takes over from fellow RSM Financial Services Director, Rod Edwards, who was at the helm for eight years.
