Grants of $1–5 million (matched funding required) for major tourism infrastructure, attractions and visitor experiences.

Expressions of interest close 10 August 2026, with successful applicants invited to submit a full business case by 9 October 2026.

The Tourism Icons Investment Fund Round 2 has just been opened to support capital projects for the development of tourism-related businesses.

 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

The Tourism Icons Investment Fund (TIIF) provides capital co-funding grants to support the development of infrastructure, attractions and experiences that help to create the state’s next world-class attractions.

Funding priorities include:

  • Ecotourism;
  • Adventure Tourism;
  • Dark Sky Tourism;
  • Agritourism;
  • Coastal and Marine Tourism;
  • Cultural and Heritage Tourism and;
  • Paleo Tourism

Grants of between $ 1 million and $5 million are available from a total funding pool of $20 million.

Funding is available on a 1:1 co-contribution basis.

Applicants must:

  • Be a business, organisation, not-for-profit organisation or Queensland Local Government Authorities that provide a tourism service or experience.
  • Be a new or established tourism operator who can demonstrate active establishment of tourism operations in Queensland through evidence of land tenure, lease arrangements and/or existing operations. 
     

Expressions of interest close 10 August 2026. Successful businesses will be invited to submit a full business case by 9 October 2026.
