The Regional Tourism Infrastructure Fund complements the Tourism Icons Investment Fund and aims to address critical gaps in tourism infrastructure, enhance Queensland's tourism offerings and appeal and deliver long-term economic benefits to regional communities.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Regional Tourism Infrastructure Fund (RTIF) Round 2 is designed to support a variety of projects aimed at strengthening Queensland’s regional tourism offerings, project examples include:
- Support for new tourism attractions and experiences, highlighting Queensland’s iconic wonders and celebrating Queensland’s Indigenous heritage.
- Enhancements to existing facilities to attract and improve visitor experiences.
- Developments like eco-lodges, glamping sites and sustainability enhancements.
- Ecotourism or culinary experiences that connect visitors with Queensland’s agricultural landscapes, practices, and produce.
- Experiences that that showcase Queensland’s spectacular
Grants of up to $300,000 are available.
Applicants must:
- Be an established tourism operator in Queensland (more than 12 months), or
- Be a new operator, or an operator from another Australian jurisdiction, who can demonstrate active establishment of tourism operations in Queensland with significant tourism benefits to Queensland.
