The ANDHealth+ program aims to accelerate the commercialisation and scaling of Australian digital and connected health technologies with strong clinical and commercial potential.
Eligible activities include:
- Product development and refinement
- Clinical validation and evidence generation
- Regulatory approval and compliance activities
- Commercialisation and market-entry initiatives
- Scaling manufacturing, implementation, or delivery capabilities
- Activities that support investment readiness and enterprise customer adoption\
Digital and connected health technologies may include digital therapeutics, clinical decision support tools, remote patient monitoring solutions, health software platforms, AI-enabled healthcare technologies and connected medical devices. Funding is complemented by hands-on commercialisation support, industry mentorship and access to investors, clinicians and corporate partners.
A total grant funding pool of $9 million is available to 5 successful SMEs across two stages:
- Stage 1: Each intake of 5 SMEs will share a pool of $1.5 million, disbursed in alignment of commercially relevant milestones
- Stage 2: If successful at Stage 1, each intake of 5 SMEs will share a pool of $7.5 million, disbursed in alignment of commercially relevant milestones.
The program also provides hands-on support from a bespoke panel of senior executives assigned to each successful applicant.
Eligible applicants must:
- Be an Australian small to medium-size enterprise – a for-profit company with less than 200 employees, less than $50M in consolidated annual revenue and less than $25M in assets
- Have a minimum of one full-time employee engaged in the business
- Demonstrate diversity across both their Board of Directors and Leadership team
- Have already demonstrated the technology at proof-of-concept level
- Possess or control the exclusive global rights to any novel intellectual property (IP) relevant to the project and demonstrate that any new IP generated through the project will be developed, commercialised and retained for the benefit of Australia.
