Beenu is a Principal in our Risk Advisory division and is based in the Melbourne office.

Beenu has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and looks after all the financial services clients in Melbourne.

Since joining 3 years ago, she has successfully leveraged her industry experience to achieve significant growth in the number of financial services clients that RSM today provides Risk Advisory and Consulting services.

"I love the variety that Internal Audit engagements offer. We get the unique opportunity of seeing an organisation as a whole and the key strategic and operational risks they face. We then identify and provide recommendations to address gaps in processes and controls which ultimately enhances the overall strength and resilience of the organisation."

Prior to joining RSM , Beenu worked for key financial services organisations including CBA and Westpac. Her experience was spread across a variety of divisions from Retail to Private Banking, with roles ranging from client-facing to leading Senior Banker and Private Client Advisory Teams.

In her free time, Beenu loves exploring eateries in Melbourne and spending time with her family. She also has a  hidden love for design & decor and has put together decor for a number of events including a few charity fundraisers and her sister's wedding!

SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS 

•    Co-leading the internal audit function for an APRA-regulated ADI
•    Assisted a listed financial services organisation map regulatory obligations under several key operating licenses to identify the appropriateness of the design and operating effectiveness of controls in place to ensure the organisation consistently meets its regulatory obligations.
•    Providing independent, evidence-based advice to the board of a key organisation on the viability of expansion of its existing service lines, the introduction of new service lines, and cessation of low demand high/cost service lines.
•    Assisted in the development and assessment of Risk Management Frameworks and Risk Appetite Statements.
•    Working with clients on a range of operational internal audits as well as those required by regulators such as APRA, AUSTRAC, and ASIC.
