Bryan Soepardi

Bryan Soepardi is a Partner in RSM Australia’s R&D Tax and Government Incentives team.
He is one of the APAC region’s leading R&D Tax practitioners, particularly across emerging technologies and large manufacturing and engineering projects.
From the recent R&D Tax Transparency Report relating to the 2022 R&D Tax claims in Australia, Bryan is the lead advisor to 3 out of the top 10 R&D tax claimants in Australia.
His career has entailed contributing to policy development, leading change management initiatives for multinational corporations, and presenting at technical conferences on international R&D tax incentive programs. His passion for understanding the design behind technologies and processes, combined with expertise in tax and statutory interpretation, enables him to deliver tailored solutions to each client.

Bryan is passionate about assisting clients in navigating complex project management tasks or regulatory reviews.
SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS
- Designed and implemented processes for identifying and documenting R&D Tax Incentive opportunities for several top 100 taxpayers. These exercises entailed designing systems to capture opportunities across a multinational portfolio of over 2,000 projects per annum.
- Co-presented on topical R&D Tax Incentive matters with New Zealand’s R&D Tax Incentive program leaders.
- Together with the National Head of Tax, co-led the design of RSM Australia’s 2030 strategy for National Tax.
APPOINTMENTS
Bryan is a member of RSM International’s Global Incentives Group, which oversees capability development and knowledge sharing across RSM’s international tax incentive and grants practice.
Together with the National Head of Tax and National Tax Technical Director, Bryan is responsible for system design and strategy implementation across RSM Australia’s National Tax service lines.
Bryan is also a member of the New Zealand R&D Advisory Group, through which he participates in policy consultation and program administration discussions.
