Daniel McLachlan is a Senior Accountant in the Business Advisory division based in Wagga Wagga.

Since joining RSM in 2021, he has worked with a broad range of middle market and regional SMEs, high net worth individuals and multi-entity client groups across the agribusiness, real estate and construction sectors.

Daniel supports clients with financial reporting, tax compliance and business advisory services, helping them understand their financial position and make informed decisions. He is particularly known for working through complex tax and compliance matters in a practical, organised way, giving clients greater clarity, reducing administrative pressure and helping them focus on achieving their business goals.

Solutions Daniel provides

Daniel has worked with multi-entity client groups to help structure their tax affairs more effectively. By reviewing existing arrangements and assisting with practical tax planning strategies, he has helped clients improve the efficiency of their business structures while supporting their ongoing compliance obligations.

He also assisted a client with several years of outstanding tax and compliance obligations across multiple entities. Working closely with the client, Daniel helped organise financial records, prepare overdue financial statements and tax returns, and develop a clear plan to address outstanding obligations. Bringing the client back into compliance reduced significant stress, provided greater visibility over their financial position and allowed them to focus on growing their business with confidence.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through regular gym sessions and running. He is also a passionate AFL supporter and follows the Collingwood Football Club.
