Shannon is a Senior Manager within the Restructuring and Insolvency team in our Perth office. 

Shannon brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked within the insolvency industry since 2010.

With years of experience within the field, Shannon adeptly navigates complex financial situations, identifying and recovering assets and claims to achieve favourable outcomes for stakeholders.

Shannon is motivated by the opportunity to work with individuals, families, and their businesses during times of financial hardship and dispute to help them understand their financial circumstances, the options available to them, and the impact of these options.

Prior to joining RSM in 2019, Shannon worked at a boutique insolvency firm for nine years where she established the foundation of her skillset and knowledge.

Outside of work, Shannon's enthusiasm for problem-solving extends to her near-perfect record of escaping from escape rooms!

SIGNIFICANT PROJECTs

  •    Identification of claims to real property and in circumstances where bankrupts are uncooperative, engaging lawyers, obtaining orders for vacant possession and the ultimate sale of the property.
  •    Managing and facilitating the sale of various residential property in Perth and regional Western Australia for the benefit of bankrupt estates and companies in liquidation.
  •    Assisting a debtor with formulating a proposal for a personal insolvency agreement which was ultimately accepted by the unsecured creditor and allows the debtor to retain his family home.
  •    Assisting with a debtor's negotiations with the ATO by providing an independent report on the proposal and comparing to a bankruptcy scenario, including outlining the investigations conducted into related entities and their respective financial positions.
  •    Reporting to the bankrupt's creditors on a proposed Section 73 Composition, negotiating and meeting with stakeholders, resulting in creditors receiving significantly more than they would in bankruptcy and the bankruptcy being annulled.
  •    Identification of the parties' asset pool (~$50m) in a family law matter, quantifying the asset pool position at two dates and tracing the variance in assets between those dates.
