Shaun Osborne is a Director in the Perth Corporate Finance team, with a primary focus on providing lead M&A advisory services.

Shaun advises business owners, shareholders and investors on a wide range of strategic and transaction related matters. He brings a calm, structured and highly commercial approach to transactions. Often supporting clients through complex and important decisions across the business lifecycle.

Shaun works closely with clients to deliver tailored advice that is both strategic and practical. Whether supporting growth, finding the right investor, facilitating a sale or assisting with a strategic acquisition, Shaun is committed to delivering advice that aligns with his clients’ long term objectives.

Shaun advises clients on both buy side and sell side mandates and is actively involved across all stages of the transaction process and undertakes to work together with clients from an early stage in any process to unpack their strategic objects and goals, to ensure a desired outcome is achieved.

Shaun has successfully advised clients on a number of strategic divestments and privately owned business sales across a broad range of industry sectors. His experience includes pre-sale preparation, identifying and assessing strategic and financial buyers, leading commercial negotiations, handling end to end due diligence processes and managing the transaction close out process.

He also advised on and executed the acquisition strategy of a JSE listed financial services group. His involvement contributed to the successful execution of the group’s acquisition strategy and supported its broader growth objectives.

A particularly rewarding engagement for Shaun involved advising a family owned private business on the sale of their company. The business had been built over many decades and carried significant emotional value for the family, making the transaction far more than a purely commercial exercise. Shaun worked closely with the shareholders and management team throughout the process to deliver a successful transaction, which also involved an in-depth pre-sale preparation process prior to going to market.

When he isn’t at work, Shaun is a keen sports follower and is always available for a round of golf when the opportunity arises.
