Albert Meintjes is a Partner in our Sydney office, specialising in valuations, transaction advisory, and corporate finance.

Albert specialises in valuations for large corporates, listed entities, and middle market businesses across Australia. With over 16 years of international experience, he provides independent, strategic valuation advice that helps businesses understand their worth, meet regulatory requirements, and achieve successful transaction outcomes.

Albert began his career in 2009 in the audit division of one of the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms in Johannesburg, South Africa. His early years in audit provided a strong foundation for his transition into corporate finance, where he specialised in valuations across a variety of industries. Over the years, Albert worked in the valuations teams of both global and mid-tier firms, advising businesses on complex valuation matters in South Africa and later, Australia.

Since relocating to Australia in 2017, Albert has held senior roles in Sydney-based advisory firms, focusing on providing valuation services to both large corporates and the middle market. He joined RSM in 2021, bringing with him extensive experience in guiding businesses through complex valuation requirements, whether driven by transactions, financial reporting obligations or regulatory compliance.

Albert works closely with clients to help them understand the factors that drive business value, ranging from profitability and operational performance to market positioning, risk exposure and future growth potential. By providing clear, independent valuation assessments, he equips business owners, boards and stakeholders with the insights they need to make informed strategic decisions.

He is particularly experienced in transaction-related valuations, supporting clients in both buy-side and sell-side scenarios. One of his most rewarding engagements involved assisting a client with the valuation of their business ahead of a proposed sale. Through a detailed analysis of key value drivers, Albert’s work enabled the client to successfully negotiate a significantly improved purchase price, highlighting the financial benefits of thorough and strategic valuation advice.
