The Queensland Residential Activation Fund is designed to unlock land supply and accelerate housing development by funding the delivery of critical trunk and essential infrastructure to activate both infill and greenfield housing projects.

The Queensland Residential Activation Fund is designed to unlock land supply and accelerate housing development by funding the delivery of critical trunk and essential infrastructure to activate both infill and greenfield housing projects.

Funded infrastructure may include:

  • Water supply
  • Sewerage
  • Stormwater
  • Transport
  • Higher order power and telecommunications infrastructure

At least half of all funding will be invested outside of South East Queensland, across regional, rural and remote areas.

There is no specified maximum grant amount. The total funding pool for Round 2 is $500 million.

No minimum co-contribution is required.

Eligible applicants must meet the criteria under one of the following pathways:

Pathway 1 – Local Governments

  • Local Government constituted under the Local Government Act 2009 or the City of Brisbane Act 2010

Pathway 2 – Developers and Landowners

  • Developer or landowner with a company registered in Australia and with Development Approval for a residential development located in Queensland.
    Projects must be completed within three years.

Eligible applicants may submit multiple applications.
