The Low Emissions Industry Program provides grants to support the implementation and scale‑up of technologies and industrial processes that deliver measurable greenhouse gas reductions.

The Low Emissions Industry Program provides grants to support the implementation and scale‑up of technologies and industrial processes that deliver measurable greenhouse gas reductions.

Funding is available to eligible NSW mining and manufacturing facilities that are ready to implement a project that will reduce the emissions of their facility by at least 1,000 tonnes of carbon per year.

Grants of between $500,000 and $10 million are available.

Grant funding will cover a maximum of 50% of total proposal cost.

Applicants must:

  • have reported emissions under the National Greenhouse Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme in the 2024-25 reporting year
  • be classified under the Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC) codes of manufacturing or mining, but not Oil and Gas extraction
    not be a Safeguard Mechanism facility.
