RSM has announced six new partners and twelve principals across its capital and regional city locations.
In a challenging year, the appointments were driven by strong client demand and a commitment to recognising and rewarding high performers.
Jamie O’Rourke, Chief Executive Partner, RSM, said,

All appointments except Peter Sarandopoulos and Ashwin Pal are effective 1 July 2021. Ashwin will commence with the firm on 5 July 2021 and Peter on 1 December 2021.
New Partners
| Jerome Mohen Jerome Mohen, based in Perth, has been promoted to partner in Restructuring & Recovery. A registered liquidator, Jerome regularly meets and consults with individuals and/or directors whose businesses are experiencing financial difficulty to provide strategies on a way forward. Jerome values the work that he is able to do at RSM in providing debt solutions for the various assignments we undertake, a job that he does whilst maintaining integrity and identifying professional, empathetic and easy to understand strategies for all stakeholders involved. | |
| Bryan Ting Bryan Ting, based in Perth, has been promoted to partner in Assurance & Advisory. With over 15 years spanning Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, Bryan’s experience covers all aspects of assurance services including financial statements audit, risk assessment and due diligence. Bryan specialises in assisting Asian businesses mainly from China on cross-border IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and audit assignments. | |
| Craig Amos Craig Amos, based in Perth, has joined RSM as partner in Corporate Finance. Craig has significant experience in finance, accounting, corporate transactions and commercial projects in corporate and professional service environments. He became chief financial officer of Velrada in July 2020. Prior to that, he was chief financial officer of Decmil from March 2014 to December 2019.

| Jeremy Elman Jeremy Elman, based in Sydney has been promoted to partner in Risk Advisory Services. Jeremy has over 10 years’ experience in the UK and Australia managing consulting, audit and assurance engagements across many industries including telecommunications, media, events management, sport aviation and financial services. Jeremy is able to add value and insight through an extensive understanding of financial reporting, operational risk, compliance, data and process efficiency. | |
| Ashwin Pal Ashwin Pal, based in Sydney, has joined RSM as partner in Security and Privacy Risk Services. With more than 22 years' experience in the IT security industry in Asia Pacific, Ashwin has hands-on experience and understanding of the evolving security challenges facing CISOs and other C-level executives from both a technical and business impact perspective. He was most recently Director of Cybersecurity at Unisys where he was responsible for running the security business within the APAC region. The focus of this senior security role was the management of the delivery capabilities across all lines of Information Security Services. | |
| Peter Sarandopoulos Peter, based in Perth, will join RSM as a partner. Peter will be part of Business Advisory. Peter has significant experience in working with small and medium-sized business owners, helping them identify business issues and develop solutions. He has particular expertise in the areas of virtual CFO services, business strategy and planning, succession planning, tax structuring and financial and management accounting.

Amanda advises local and national businesses, assisting them solve taxation and business issues. | Jie Dong Jie Dong, based in Sydney, has been promoted to principal in Assurance & Advisory. Jie has experience in providing audit services to a range of clients including listed companies and large not-for-profit organisations. Jie is fluent in Mandarin and works closely with businesses with Asian interests in delivering all aspects of assurance services. | |
| Adam Eady Adam Eady, based in Albury, has been promoted to principal in Business Advisory. Not just a traditional accountant, Adam takes a hands-on approach and helps businesses off and onsite, to help them evaluate and assess their issues. Adam assists growing businesses with establishing and improving internal systems, maximising financial analysis and improvement. | |
| Andrew Fernance Andrew Fernance, based in Canberra, has been promoted to principal in Business Advisory. With over 25 years experience in advising growing businesses, Andrew uses a common sense approach when dealing with complex tax and business issues. Andrew is also an expert on asset protection strategies where he is able to advise on the right strategy for the protection of assets in a tax effective manner.

| Kara Golding Kara Golding, based in Geraldton, has been promoted to principal in Business Advisory. Kara thrives in developing close relationships with clients and knowing what is going on in their business. With significant experience in advising small and medium-sized businesses across a broad range of industries, Kara is also active on several boards in the local community including as Treasurer of the Midwest Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

| Tom Hüberli Tom Hüberli, based in Rockingham and Fremantle, has been promoted to principal in Business Advisory. Tom’s extensive career at RSM includes stints in both regional and metropolitan offices. Tom’s friendly approach is well-received by his clients who turn to him for advice on everything from interpreting tax and business-related legislation, business structuring matters, strategic planning including cashflow budgeting and monitoring performance to providing advice on best practice internal controls and board governance.

Jessica has over 10 years of experience in delivering external audit and assurance services to listed companies, IPOs, large private companies and not for profit organisations. | Michael Watkins Michael Watkins, based in Melbourne, has been promoted to principal in Tax Services. Michael’s experience covers a wide range of tax-related functions including advisory and compliance services for clients in many industries. Michael’s experience covers everything from listed corporations and privately held groups, to individuals and expatriate employees. Michael also has expertise in managing audits conducted by revenue authorities, such as the Australian Taxation Office and the state and territory revenue offices.

| Annerie Wootton Annerie Wootton, based in Brisbane, has been promoted to principal in Assurance & Advisory. Annerie has more than 13 years’ experience in audit, working with a diverse client portfolio, however, she has a speciality in providing audit services to private clients, including international inbound clients, not-for-profits and the public/government sector. Annerie was a partner with RSM South Africa before relocating to Australia in October 2017.
