Rick Kimberley will be the national lead, HR Tax Solutions, based in the Melbourne office. He has significant experience at other large accounting and advisory firms with expertise in employment tax. Rick has also previously provided advice in the expatriate tax space.

Also based in Melbourne, Rita Choueiri joins the R&D Tax and Government Incentives team in Tax Services. Both Rick and Rita commence at RSM on 11 July 2022 and bring the partner numbers in the Melbourne office to 29.

In the last 12 months, RSM has appointed an additional 29 partners, comprising 15 lateral hires and 14 internal promotions.

Business Advisory, which accounts for about 45% of RSM’s services, had the highest lift in new partners during 2021-22 growing by nine, followed by Assurance and Advisory with five.

The new partner announcement kicks off RSM’s 2022-23 senior leadership talent drive to spearhead its ongoing expansion of in-demand and specialist professional services.

RSM Australia Chief Executive Partner Jamie O’Rourke said in its 100th year, RSM was continuing to expand its service offerings in line with changing business demands, including adding roles in growing areas such as data analytics and security and privacy.

'’We have invested significantly in our company growth strategy, and the development of our human capital, over the past decade,’’ Mr O’Rourke said.

‘’This has been bolstered by the adoption of the RSM global brand in 2015, and further cemented by our local focus on delivering robust advice and innovative client and industry-focused solutions,’’ he said.

''Despite the tough labour market, we've expanded our total staff pool by more than 300, including more than 200 graduates, since the start of the pandemic and now have about 1,550 staff nationwide, with a view to increasing this to 1,750 by 2024.
